Examining the evidence for rare fauna
At the heart of WLMD we conduct critical analysis on photographic, film and other evidence for rare fauna - such as Tasmanian tigers, big cats and less iconic species.
Animal tracks library
The WLMD animal tracks library is an ever expanding collection of photographs of animal tracks and other signs, taken in the field. Transparent overlays try and describe the basic print features. These can be used to compare against other publications and field guides.
Interactive Tasmanian tiger sightings map
The WLMD interactive thylacine sighting map takes you on a tour of dozens of excellent, published thylacine sighting reports and related information. It was featured in Google's showcase gallery and we welcome new suggestions.
